Project Statement
The community project proposal, Linis Langyaw, is a community waste management project proposed by the researchers as a means of addressing the improper waste management and disposal systems plaguing the community of Langyaw and consequently presenting floods and greater environmental problems in the community. The researchers identified numerous factors contributing to the issue, such as a lack of involvement and initiative from both the community members and the local government unit. Through the implementation of a waste management facility, the project aims to address these factors through local authorities down to the individual members of the community. The proposed facility will serve as a centralized unit for segregation, recycling, and upcycling of waste, as well as a community center for the facilitation of educational workshops, lectures, and seminars to promote public environmental awareness. It is important to note that the implementation of the project heavily relies on the resources, manpower, and funds available in Langyaw.
