For their final plate, students were challenged to design a civic space that addressed the needs of the local community to express freedom, creativity and social skills.

The project must cater to a variety of users from children to senior citizens, and from able-bodied persons to those with disabilities. Proposed activities and open space features must be culturally appropriate and respectful to Filipinos.

Students were asked to consider the access from existing roads, the openness to all sides, permanent structures and large thriving trees. Details such as paving materials, railings, bollards, signages and lighting fixtures were also required.
