RESSIDENTIAL COMPLEEX LANDSCAPPE DESIGGN
Second year students were tasked to design the entrance and streetscape of a residential complex. Landscape elements and details such as sidewalk, paving patterns and lighting fixtures were also included in the output. Following a common theme, the development must cater to various age groups from children to senior citizens.
Students also zoomed in on a residential lot of their choosing and designed a residential garden.
The challenge was to design an outdoor space that can be used for family events and activities while maintaining privacy and respect for personal space.
The students were given the freedom to orient the residential structure within the lot (or even use their own house), considering solar orientation, road access and common green space. Planting materials were also specified and incorporated into their final designs.
